Hi Everyone.
Once again I’m asking for your donation to the Birdies for Charity program which funds my Special Olympics East Valley Golf Team. It is the PGA’s charitable program associated with the Waste Management Phoenix Open (WMPO) tournament. My team of 32 Special Olympics athletes gets 100% of all donations and the Thunderbirds Charity Foundation provides an additional 10% of our total. Throughout the year, we get together monthly to play courses all around Arizona. We use the Birdies for Charity money to pay course fees, buy team shirts & hats and provide us with lunch at the courses we play. The top fundraisers on our team will be automatically selected to participate in the Putting Contest at the 2024 WMPO.
My partner Ron and I had a good season in 2023. He’s a good golfer and we have a lot of fun together. We played at some very pretty and challenging courses. In early Dec. at the Special Olympics State Tournament, Ron was my caddy and I played 9 holes by myself. Guess what? I won a gold medal! (I’m wearing it in my picture.)
I appreciate and am very grateful for your involvement in my fundraising effort for 2024.
